Solution / Pre-Sales Consultant

Position Summary:
Be part of the premiere sales team for supply chain technology! The Solution Consultant is a high profile position that is responsible for partnering with Account Executives and other Solution Consultants to sell our proprietary software products utilizing strategic solution selling methodologies. This position is focused in the selling of our world class Transportation management software.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Adopt a “team sell” attitude and strive for a “win-win” result with internal and external customers
- Prepare demo scripts, develop sales presentation materials and manage equipment for set-up and / or shipment for product demonstration
- Conduct sales presentations with Account Executive by conducting software product demonstrations (in-house and remote)
- Maintain and continually improve demonstration capabilities including demo system upgrades, conducting internal sales department training, demo system props and proposal content
- Assist with responses to customer Requests for Information/Proposals
- IBM Technical and / or Sales Certification
- Achieve overall revenue, profit and market share objectives, continually improve sales related processes and procedures and maintain an industry leading level of customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Logistics or related field or equivalent experience
- At least 2+ years pre-sales experience in supply chain software products is a must
- IBM Sales and / or Technical Certifications an asset
- Previous experience with solution selling
- Excellent product demonstration and presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Position is GTA; ability to travel throughout North America required
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise and technically accurate responses to product related inquiries (functional and technical) in both written and verbal form.
- Ability to travel 30-50% (may include weekends), and work off hours.
