Abstract:
For partnerships in a supply chain to be successful, collaboration between the supply chain’s members is essential. Companies embracing the idea of supply chain collaboration are going beyond distributing information and sharing their valuable knowledge about products, business practices and the marketplace. This presentation will focus on how knowledge is shared between companies in a supply chain and what role technical and non-technical assets play. What types of systems can facilitate knowledge sharing and what must companies be mindful of during their design and implementation? How do business processes and organizational culture affect knowledge sharing between organizations? What must your company consider when working in collaboration with other supply chain partners, and how can it benefit?
