Launches Version 5.3 of Nulogx Transportation Management
Suite
Richmond Hill, Ontario – February 16, 2005 - Nulogx
announced the launch of the General Availability (GA) for
Nulogx Transportation Management Suite (TMS) at their second
User Group event since the acquisition of the intellectual
property of Transportation Control and Transportation Optimizer
from i2 Technologies in May of 2004. Over 50 people were
in attendance for this event. Nulogx presented many of the
product enhancements designed to give customers improved
management and visibility to optimize loads, improved piece-based
rating at multiple levels and enhanced shipment leg and
load management functionality.
“These improvements are significant.” said
Doug Colter, Director of Marketing and Business Development.
“We achieved three things with this release. First,
we proved that we listen to our customers, because many
of their enhancement requests were built into this release.
Second, we proved that we can take on a major development
project, and meet our expected target dates. Third, Nulogx
has created a very stable technical and functional foundation
for our next major release of the Transportation Management
suite – version 6.0.”
Nulogx continues to pour significant investments into product
development. Companies want simpler application deployment
while providing the ability to configure comprehensive planning
and execution rules, which enable shippers and 3PLs to differentiate
their services while meeting demanding customer service
levels. These are the capabilities that cannot be found
in the one-size-fits-all online collaboration products that
some vendors are pushing today.
During the User Group meeting, Nulogx strongly encouraged
customers who are still using older versions of the Transportation
Management suite to migrate to the current version 5.3.
“Today, Nulogx support customers using the old versions,
but we need to invest our resources in developing for the
future, while supporting more recent product versions.”
said Mr. Colter. Nulogx created migration tools to move
data from version 4.3, 5.1 and 5.2. Nulogx also offers “tune-up”
consulting services to help customers move to version 5.3
so they can begin to take advantage of the new product capabilities.
Nulogx surveyed many of the User Group attendees. The results
were very encouraging. Customers want more information,
and they are willing to present ideas such as how to leverage
Transportation Optimize to improve customer service, and
how to integrate Transportation Control with web-facing
applications for external users.
Customers are encouraged to embrace version 5.3 as soon
as possible. Software CD’s will be distributed in
the coming days.
